<P ALIGN="JUSTIFY"><B>FISH-ECOLOGY</B> (FE, also referred as 'the conference') is
the largest worldwide computer conference on fish and fisheries research since
year 1994. FE is well established in the fish and fisheries research communities
as a valuable internet resource. The conference is hosted by the Faculty of
Marine Science (FMS) at the University of Las Palmas (ULP). Although this
network is mainly academic, membership is open to all interested parties. The
same criteria on standards applies to every one. The service is free of cost to
members. Senior scientists are considered central figures. Topics covered by
this conference are all possible bio-geo-scientific aspects, analytical tools,
hardware and procedures related to fish and fisheries research, particularly
within: behavioural- evolutionary- paleo- theoretical- and community ecology,
stock- dynamics, assesement and management, modelling and applied- mathematics
and statistics, bioeconomics, resource management, applied oceanography and GIS,
genetics, limnology, chemical ecology, programming as well as any discipline
related to fish research. Oral history on experiences from the field, research
groups and experimental design. Search of whereabouts of scientists, academic
announcements, reviews on both scientific bibliography and software
applications. This conference reaches the majority of the fish and fisheries
research communities either directly or indirectly through its over 2000 members
from over 70 countries.</P>
